Lindsay O’Neill has been one half of the Morning Show on 97.3 for seven years now in Des Moines! She moved to Central Iowa from Illinois to attend Iowa State University, and has been a proud Cyclone fan every since! She has a mind of her own and loves to share it…providing listeners with the fun they are looking for on their drive to work.
What’s your favorite TV show of all time?
Friends! I can relate anything or any conversation back to an episode of Friends…Seriously, anything…
What’s the one piece of clothing you could not live without?
Jeans…one good pair of dark wash, skinny jeans goes a long way!
What’s your favorite thing about country music?
That it’s easy to sing along to!
What’s your favorite animal?
I am not really an animal person…I can’t say I could actually pick one.
What’s the last thing you took a picture of?
My son, Jack, outside of Jack Trice Stadium!
What was on your favorite T-Shirt as a kid?
I had this awesome American flag shirt where the main part was red and white striped and the arms were blue with stars! It was very 90’s and had an awesome hood! I got it from a garage sale and would still wear it if I could…(I still have it!)
What Web site do you go visit when no one is watching?
Web MD. I admit it, I am a self-diagnoser.
What sign are you?
Scorpio…I don’t know what that means though…
I am saving up for_____________?
I am constantly saving…I hate spending money! But I would say our next big purchase will be living room furniture!
I was actually quite the teacher’s pet and a pretty good student…I always talked too much in class according to my teachers (go figure!).
I was born in Minnesota (Go Twins! Go Vikings!), moved to Springfield, Missouri for most of my childhood, and then moved to a suburb of Chicago for my teenage years!
I had no interest in college, but my mom told me I had to go. So…I thought “What do I like? Country Music. How can I make that a career? Radio. Ok, I will go into broadcast Journalism….done.” And that is about how much thought that went into it…luckily I think I am pretty good at it!
Sleep without a television on or ride an elevator without freaking their freak!
According to a recent quiz I took online…Jennifer Lawrence.
I can flip my eyelids inside out.
Beer, Butter, Beer, Bagels, Beer
Transporting…I would love to close my eyes and transport to anywhere I want to go!
That’s tough. I would probably go with “The Chair” by George Strait or “Shameless” by Garth Brooks
Probably the Iowa State Cyclones winning some sort of National Championship in something! (Obviously…in the future!)
I would love to learn to knit!
I am a working mother of a 2-year-old and an infant, and have a husband who likes to be on the go all of the time…I don’t get any free time.
Cone…actually that sounds good right now!
I like both, but with a mountain lodge I would have to clean up a lot less sand!
Dinners with my family…absolutely hilarious!

Homestyle Chicken Casserole
3-4 Chicken Breasts Cubed

1 container french fried onions
6 American Cheese slices
1 Can Cream of Chicken soup
3/4 cup Milk (I Just use a soup can full)
1 can of corn
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a casserole dish mix hasbrowns and half the container of french fried onions. Unwrap cheese slices and lay on top of hashbrown/onion mix. Put cubed chicken breasts on top of cheese. Mix soup and milk together and pour mixture over everything else.
Cook for 25 minutes.
Drain corn and pour into casserole and mix everything together.
Cook for 25 more minutes.
Put rest of french fried onions over the top and cook for 5 more minutes.
It’s super good, easy and heats up really well for leftovers…I have also subtituted leftover turkey for the chicken, peas for corn, other types of frozen potatoes for hashbrowns…etc (GET CREATIVE – and then tell me what you did!)
