“Nelsen has a great summer club track season running the unique 2000m Steeplechase. Nelsen broke the state record at the USATF meet in June. In July he was the USATF 6 state Regional champion. Finally at end of July Nelsen became the first National champion Steeplechaser for Valley Youth Running Club in West Des Moines.” Nominated by his Dad & coach, David Perrigo
