Chris Young is coming to town on May 2nd for a show at Wells Fargo Arena!
The ‘I’m Coming’ Over’ performer will make the stop as part of his ‘Ain’t Big Enough Tour.’
A native of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Young has loved music since a young age. Growing up he was part of several children’s theater productions and also played in the drumline and sang in choir while in high school.
Even when he was in college music was still a huge part of his life as he was playing over 150 shows a year while still being a student.
Young earned a contract with RCA Records Nashville after winning the show ‘Nashville Star’ in 2006 and released his debut single ‘Drinking’ Me Lonely’ later that year.
In 2010, Young had his first number one single with ‘Getting’ You Home (The Black Dress Song)’ and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Male Country Vocal Performance.
He career has really taken off since 2011 with multiple number one hits and ‘Tomorrow’ becoming his first platinum selling single in August 2012.
Last year he released another hit song with ‘Raised on Country’ as part of upcoming seventh studio album!
Young is also a big philanthropist, having supported Little Kids Rock over the years and also creating a fundraising site for Houston to help with flood relieve after Hurricane Harvey!
Joining Young for the Des Moines show in May will be ‘This is It’ performer Scotty McCreery and 19 year old up and comer Payton Smith!
