CINCH World’s Toughest Rodeo

What the world needs now… is a healthy dose of fun and the World’s Toughest Rodeo is ready to serve up a big dose in a rodeo package. The rodeo is heading to Wells Fargo Arena with a headliner that will not disappoint. Whiplash The Cowboy Monkey, fan favorite, 3-Time Pro Rodeo Entertainer of the Year, and an international star who has been putting smiles on faces for years will be in the house May 1.

Whiplash is truly a fan favorite. He is the world’s smallest cowboy, 3-Time Pro Rodeo Entertainer of the Year, and an international star. He is a Capuchin Monkey who has been riding since he was two years old. He travels the country herding wild Barbados sheep at rodeos and other events. Whiplash, dressed in his cowboy hat, silk scarf, chaps and Justin Boots, never misses a chance to show his skills and cowboy spirit as he rides his trusty Border Collie mount, Boogie.

Whiplash has entertained crowds at world’s largest rodeos, ball games and events all across North America and Europe. He has starred in a series of television advertisements for the fast food chain Taco Johns. He has appeared on numerous commercials, ESPN, Good Morning America and The Today Show.

Long-time PRCA card holder, Kenny Petet of Stephenville, Texas, travels with Whiplash the Cowboy Monkey. “He is really more like part of the family, with his big personality and diva-like charm.” said Petet

“The rodeo star has his preference, he likes watching TV westerns and playing catch. His favorite snacks are grapes, Oreos and his bed-time peanut butter and jelly sandwich. He is playful and flirts with the ladies but is serious about his job. There is nothing he loves more than riding his Border Collie, Boogie.”

The World’s Toughest Rodeo, the longest running national ProRodeo tour, returns May 1 to Wells Fargo Arena with a new Matinee Show starting at 1 p.m. and features the fan favorite free Preshow from 11:30 – 12:30. Sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, expect the best in cowboy and animal athletes. It is all about action, featuring the Bareback Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, Women’s Barrel Racing, and fan favorite Bull Riding. The show culminates in a head-to-head showdown round where the top two in each event ride the toughest horses and bulls and winner are crowned… it’s non-stop, edge of your seat action.

World’s Toughest Rodeo never disappoints in the entertainment line-up, bringing the nation’s top acts. Roger Mooney, National Finals Rodeo Announcer, Dusti Crain Dickerson, trick rider extraordinaire and John Harrison, 6x National Finals Rodeo comedy barrelman will round out the entertainment lineup.
